Veterinarian by day and bellydancer
by night, Briana has been dancing with theTexas Gypsys since the summer of 2006. Before that, she
danced with a troupe in
College Station,TX for about 2 years.
For Briana, bellydance quickly became
a passion after taking her first formal class. It provides a
much-needed stress release, and the friendships that result are
truly unique and special to her. She plans to continue bellydancing
for many years to come.

Sabine has loved and dabbled in
bellydance for several years, but it was not until she saw the Texas
Gypsys perform at Shimmy By the Sea 2006 that she felt she had
found home. She joined the gypsies shortly after and made her debut
performance with them at the Ingelside Renn Faire in 2006. The
sisterhood of the troupe is as precious and beautiful to her as the
artform itself.

She works as a petroleum geologist to
support her bellydancing habit and costuming addiction. |

Clinical Microbiologist/Virologist by day, obsessed with dance by
night (or anytime, for that matter!), Tara began seeing her world
through belly dance glasses in late 2006. Belly dance has allowed
Tara’s life-long dream of dancing to become a reality and she enjoys the
wonderful group of women who have become her dear friends over the past
year. Originally from Tennessee, Tara has lived in Texas since 1997 and
enjoys belly dance (obviously!), photography, Reiki, metaphysics,
reading, and sci-fi/fantasy.

When she's not inspiring young minds
as an English teacher, Monica enjoys pumping iron and working on dance
moves. She has been dancing since '87 and bellydancing since '94 in both
Texas and New Jersey. She hit the books at UNT and later received her MS
in Education. She loves the sisterhood of the Texas Gypsys and the
friendships that she has developed with her fellow troupe members.

School Teacher
by day, originally attending college on Theatre Scholarship, but
realized quickly that she had an eye for overall visual dynamics of
production and operation, she changed majors and graduated with B.S. in
Radio/Television Communications and Production. Theatre and
Performing have remained personal passions. As well as performing
with the Texas Gypsys , Valkyrie has performed in Harbor Playhouse
productions and received a coveted "Sammy Award" (like the local Emmys)
for role in M*A*S*H, as well as directed school dance troupes and
performances.
The camaraderie of the Texas Gypsys is
amazing and it is pleasure to serve such a dynamic sisterhood.
