Veterinarian by day and bellydancer
by night, Briana has been dancing with the Texas Gypsys since the summer of 2006. Before that, she
danced with a troupe in College Station, TX for about 2 years.
For Briana, bellydance quickly became
a passion after taking her first formal class. It provides a
much-needed stress release, and the friendships that result are
truly unique and special to her. She plans to continue bellydancing
for many years to come.

Currently
working on Her Bachelor's... Kelly has been a member of the Texas
Gypsys for over 4 years.

I began bellydancing last January 2009 and
became a Gypsy in May. My first performance with the Gypsys was a
competition in Austin. What fun!!! I have learned that being
onstage can be addicting. I love being with my new Gypsy friends! When I
am not dancing, I am being mommy to eight children and substitute
teaching for Seashore Learning Center. I am married to the most
wonderful man on Earth, Doyle Gaines, who is the love of my life and my
best friend. We will be celebrating 23 years of marriage in
January.

My Mom
used to love to dress my sisters and I up for talent shows where I
performed such songs as "I got no Strings" from Pinocchio, "Good ship
lollipop" & "Puttin on the Ritz" by Taco. I love to dance & love the Art of
Bellydancing! Tribal fusion Bellydance is a dream come true. Its been a
long time coming but I was meant to do this!

| Recently
graduate for University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Literature
and currently preparing for grad school. Has been dancing with the
Texas Gypsys since she was in Middle School over 12 years ago.

Dulce has been a
Gypsy for about three years. In the previous century, she studied
ballet, modern, jazz and tap. Still moving to the music.
|
Believes dancing to be one of the
"shortest-cuts" to happiness... She has been interested in bellydance
for several years but only found the opportunity to explore it in the
last year. She quickly realized that Tribal Fusion and Tribal were best
suited to her personality. She enjoys being part of a group of amazing
women who encourage each other and share their experience and skill
freely and enhance the bellydance experience for the whole troupe. In
addition to her love of dancing, her mercurial interests are sometimes
scattered... but always enjoys sewing, reading and being outdoors. |
Melissa
works in the health care industry, She has been an active member of the
Texas Gypsys for over 4 years.

Retired Home
Health Supervisor. Has enjoyed bellydancing for over 5 years.
Also enjoys the beach, painting, and needle work. |
Joined classes
for exercise and was bitten by the bellydance bug. She also swings
a great set of poi. |

works in the health care industry, She has been an active member of the
Texas Gypsys for over 7 years.

Started pursuing
bellydance in 2004. Was a member of the Middle Eastern Dance Club at
TAMU-K in 2006 and has been their president for a few terms. Just
received a BFA from TAMU-K. I love tribal and tribal fusion style
of bellydance. I have a boyfriend, 3 cats, and 6 fish. I
enjoy sewing costumes and making dance accessories.

I get to dance
with some of the most intelligent and beautiful women on the planet. The
camaraderie of the Texas Gypsys is amazing and it is pleasure to serve
such a dynamic sisterhood. Favorite

These
are just a few of the
VERY special people in our lives ,
though not with us on stage, we couldn't perform without their continued
support behind the scenes. They tote and watch our stuff,
take our pictures, help us get ready, listen to the same song over
and over as we practice, get us were we need to be and any myriad
of extra jobs we can think of for them, all with out complaint.
